Promoting the business at a booth here in Denver by day, and exploring this great city by night – not a bad rap! Proud of our German heritage as Wiesingers, Chris took us to the Café Berlin for dinner. Somewhat of a hole in the wall joint, they serve excellent German food and beer. Dinner consisted of various different potato dishes including potato dumplings, fried potatoes, and boiled potatoes. Sausage wrapped in cabbage, sauerkraut, schnitzel, cucumber, and tomato salad with a hefeweizen beer for Chris and pinot noir from Germany for me.
Street musicians were plentiful, and we even saw several pianists playing old, painted uprights. I couldn’t resist tickling the ivories of one instrument that was abandoned.
Enjoying the dry air, we walked off some of our sausage and window shopped along the way. Stopping in an oh so cute hat shop.
Ending the evening eating ice cream with a college buddy of Chris’s, we missed the last shuttle back to the hotel. Zac came to our rescue, rode his bike back to his apartment, picked up his jeep, and the four of us piled in making it into bed before midnight.

Looks like lots of fun. I loved your pictures! Did you buy those great hats?? When will you be back at home?
Missed seeing you this morning at 5th St. Will catch up later.
Love, Beverly K.
I LOVED this post!!! It left me wanting a fall-ish cloche hat, dying to go see the painted pianos, and VERY hungry for a kartoffelkloesse!!
Unfortunately, we didn’t walk away with any hats! We will be back at church for the first Sunday in September. Take care!
