Ahhh, Sweet Success

Unfortunately, I have been in this business for six years, and sometimes forget that Rebecca has been thrown into a whole new world.  I share with her in bits and pieces as much as I can remember about the past four years, our victories, and defeats, but I take the most pleasure in showing her success stories, especially when it comes to the flowers making customers happy.

There is really no bad time to plant a crinum in the South, except maybe right before a freeze, or a long drought without irrigation.   This customer planted a bulb right in the middle of the growing season and it came up beautifully. It is important to note that they watered it well.

Much to our surprise, we looked outside this morning, and (drumroll–ta da) we have a beautiful red and white striped crinum blooming!  There are three flowers on the one stem.  Joe took pictures of it and will send it to you when he has time to download it. Love from “The Green Thumbs”

Thank you, Beverly and Joe!  Another customer wrote in describing herself as a 60 year old novice gardener and attached pictures of their beautiful Crinum ‘Stars and Stripes’ blooming in their garden.  Thank you for sharing Corey.  Enjoy the photos!
